I developed the “Vine Video Embed Module and Content Plugin with Shortcode” for Joomla, a tool that allows users to easily display videos from Vine on any module position or inside an article on their Joomla site. This extension provides the flexibility to use any Vine video anywhere using a simple shortcode, making it lightweight and straightforward to integrate.

CODEBOXR

My client for this project was CODEBOXR, a company specializing in customizing WordPress, Joomla, and other open-source CMS platforms, and building both free and professional extensions/addons.

My key responsibilities in this project included:

  • Backend Development for Basic and Advanced Settings: I worked on backend development, adding features such as Load on Dom Ready (Yes/No), Vine URL input, View Type (Simple/Postcard), Resolution options (600px, 480px, 320px), Custom Resolution Input, Alternative Layout, Module Class Suffix, Caching, and Cache Time.
  • Front-End Development for Module Position and Content: I developed the front end for placing multiple videos in module positions and within content, ensuring a customizable look.
  • Shortcode Implementation: I implemented shortcode functionality to allow users to easily embed videos with options like View Type, Resolution, Alignment, and Video URL.

In this project, I applied my skills in the Joomla CMS framework, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and the Vine Developer API. These technologies enabled me to create a dynamic and user-friendly Joomla extension for Vine video integration.
