I developed the “Pinterest Slideshow Module” for Joomla, a module that showcases Pinterest pins in a dynamic slideshow within Joomla sites. This module adds a visually engaging element to websites, allowing users to display pins in an attractive and interactive manner.

My client for this project was CODEBOXR, a company that specializes in customizing WordPress, Joomla, and other open-source CMS platforms, and builds both free and professional extensions/addons.

My key responsibilities in the Pinterest Slideshow Module project included:

  • Front-End Design: I designed the front end to display Pinterest pins in a slideshow on any position in Joomla templates, ensuring flexibility and visual appeal.
  • Backend Settings Development: I developed backend settings for the module, including options to show/hide brand name block, small profile picture in brand block, brand or display name, tagline or brand description, and Pinterest follow button linked with profile URL.
  • Admin Options Enhancement for Styling: I enhanced admin options for styling, such as the number of pins to show, customizable slideshow speed (in milliseconds), and custom branding options like logos.

In this project, I applied my expertise in Joomla CMS framework, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and Pinterest Developers API. These technologies enabled me to create a flexible and attractive module for displaying Pinterest content.
